Welcome to Veil, the creative communication platform operated by V31L LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number 16890413). Veil combines private messaging, community spaces, creative tools, and an optional AI companion, with end-to-end encryption built in as infrastructure.

By accessing or using Veil, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use Veil.

Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use Veil. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Invitation Requirement: During our invite-only phase, you must possess a valid Veil Code to register. Veil Codes are distributed person-to-person by existing users. We may open general registration at a later date.

One Account Per Person: You may only maintain one active account on Veil.

Free and Paid Tiers: Veil offers a free tier (Lite) as well as paid subscription tiers (Plus, Pro) providing additional features. Pricing, features, and any free trials are disclosed at the point of purchase and described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

3. Veil Code Distribution Responsibility

When you share a Veil Code with another person, you are vouching for their character and creating a trust relationship. You acknowledge that:

7. Prohibited Conduct

Whilst we cannot decrypt general message content (we do not hold the encryption keys), we may cooperate with law enforcement when legally required or when necessary to prevent serious harm. In such cases, we can only provide:

Consequences: Violations of this zero-tolerance policy, particularly involving CSAM, child exploitation, or credible threats to life, will result in immediate account termination without refund. 8. Hubs and Host Responsibilities

What are Hubs?

Hubs are community spaces within Veil. Hub owners and administrators create and manage these spaces, subject to these Terms. A Hub may include features such as chat channels, posts, galleries, event scheduling, news feeds, custom branding, and other modules made available by Veil from time to time.

Hub owners and administrators may be held accountable for persistent or serious violations occurring within their Hubs, particularly if they fail to moderate or are knowingly facilitating prohibited conduct. Consequences may include:

Veil's Role:

Veil provides the infrastructure and tools for Hubs. We are not the publisher or editor of Hub content. Hubs are private, invite-only spaces, not public forums or directories. Our role is limited to providing the platform and enforcing these Terms when violations are reported.

9. Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you create and share on Veil. By using Veil, you grant us a limited licence to transmit your encrypted content to intended recipients.

Our Content: The Veil platform, including its design, code, branding, and features, is owned by V31L LTD and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of Veil without our written permission.

Community Guidelines: Hubs may establish additional community guidelines. By joining a Hub, you agree to follow its rules in addition to these Terms.

10. Account Termination

By You: You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

"As Is" Service: Veil is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, V31L LTD shall not be liable for:

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through Veil or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of Veil after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Dispute Resolution: Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute with us through good faith negotiation by contacting admin@v31l.chat.

Jurisdiction: Any legal proceedings arising from these Terms or your use of Veil shall be brought exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. You consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and V31L LTD regarding your use of Veil.
